Visas are not required for visits of up to three months by nationals of most Commonwealth countries (including the UK, Australia, New Zealand and Canada, but excluding South Africa, India and Pakistan), nationals of EU countries, nationals of most non-EU countries (excluding Russia), and nationals of the US and Japan. Other nationalities must apply to the Maltese embassy, high commission or consulate in their country. If you wish to stay in Malta for more than three months, you should apply for an extension at the Immigration Office in Floriana before the three months are up.
