Marine Iguanas
Believe it or not, these fearsome-looking creatures are mostly vegetarians living off the algae growing on lava rocks. The biggest specimens are to be found on the islands of Fernandina and Isabela, where they like to sunbathe on rocks between meals. In all there are thought to be 4,500 marine iguanas per square mile of Galapagos coastline.
