British Seaside Resorts - Newquay

Where: Newquay

What? Ten beautiful beaches, an abundance of holiday accommodation- and surf galore!

Check out: Fistral Beach, a fixture on the international surf calendar. The resort's beautiful natural setting is also a draw, with the 630 mile-long South West Coast Path running across trademark bleak cliffs. Now there's also a profusion of upmarket eateries including Jamie Oliver's 15, and with the opening of the local airport, access is easier than ever.

Seaside street cred: With streets full of Camper vans and Beetles and a young, trendy and tanned crowd, this is not what you expect from a Brit resort, but it's fast becoming a classic in its own right.
