Thought you knew what an English beach hut looked like? Think again. A new row of luxury beachfront houses are giving a new meaning to the idea in Margate.
The houses are available through estate agents Strutt & Parker for £485,000.
And, unlike your typical impression of a back-to-basics beach hut, these pads have all the luxurious mod cons.

Strutt & Parker's website reads: "The Beach Houses offer 11 contemporary beach fronted homes overlooking stunning Westbrook Bay. With uninterrupted sea views, these homes playfully reinterpret the conventional British beach hut, creating a modern retreat and are the perfect seaside getaway.
"The two bedroom Larch clad houses offer flexible open plan living space, sea-facing first floor balcony and ground floor terrace, with one dedicated underground parking space per unit.
"The properties come with floor to ceiling glazing, high specification kitchens and bathrooms and with Air source underfloor heating and a Sonos multi-zone digital music system."
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Joe Charlton, from Strutt & Parker, said: "Margate has undergone a massive regeneration over the last decade.
"The town is filled with quirky vintage shops, bistros and bars. It has a real 1950s feel to it, which people love, surrounded by independent cafes, donkey rides, artist studios, and shrimping when the tide is out.
"The 'hip' brigade are already leading the charge.
"It is much more than just a bucket and spade destination for people who are looking for a cheap English seaside holiday. It can be a real eye opener for people who haven't been before."
And John Harriss, managing director of the development company behind the project, Harriss Property Ltd, told the Daily Telegraph: "It seemed appropriate to create beach hut inspired architecture in this prominent location so close to sea, benefiting from the uninterrupted exposure to the sea."
He added: "Our intention from the start has been to create spaces where great memories will be made, and we hope to see these homes passed down from generation to generation.
"We have used materials that are durable and low maintenance so all you need to focus on is the view."
