A former policeman has appeared on Australian TV to talk about the terrifying moment he became the victim of a shocking case of "unprovoked" road rage. Scroll down to see the video
Ken Olsen said he had never experienced anything like it when he told how his car was rammed seven times, before being run off the road by a man who then smashed his windscreen in with his bare hands.
Mr Olsen said he had gone out for a drive in Brisbane, with the on-board camera running to capture his journey.
He says he does not know what angered the other driver, but knew something was wrong when he overtook him shaking his fists.
According to the Daily Mail, a chase began, in which Mr Olsen was rammed seven times. He managed to call the police from his mobile and, as he did so, the other driver overtook him and slammed on the brakes.
Mr Olsen then slammed into his car, and the other man jumped out of his four-wheel drive, leaped on Mr Olsen's bonnet and smashed the windscreen in with his fists.
Mr Olsen told Australia's Today Tonight show: "I had to go onto the footpath, got onto the footpath, and went over traffic islands with him in pursuit.
"I got around a traffic island, then he crunched into the side of me, so I had to go onto another footpath to get away from him.
"He'd crashed into my vehicle so many times I was convinced it was going to stop going, and I thought once my vehicle is not going, I have no protection, this bloke is going to kill me."
He added: "This has shaken me. It's something that you don't expect and it's something that's very difficult to deal with.
"How do you deal with somebody trying to, what I think, trying to kill you on the road? I'm struggling."
According to Brisbane's Courier Mail, after seeing the footage on TV, the suspect called the police and visited a station, where he reportedly called the video a "fake".
The man is now seeking legal advice and police are continuing to investigate the incident.
