£148 million lottery winners jet off on holiday - to a caravan park with EasyjetPA

A couple who won £148 million on the lottery are celebrating by going on holiday - with budget airline Easyjet.

Adrian and Gillian Bayford have enough money to charter a private jet to a five-star destination anywhere in the world - but instead they've opted to pay an estimated £130 for flights with the budget airline.

The down-to-earth couple, from Haverhill in Suffolk, have treated their children aged six and four to the break too.

Although they wanted to keep their holiday destination a secret, the Daily Mail reports that the family is staying at the Barry Downs campsite in Carnoustie, Angus. This is believed to be where Gillian's parents live.

However, they did take an Air Harrods helicopter to get to Stansted Airport, which was paid for by lottery organiser Camelot.

The couple is now 516th on the Sunday Times rich list.

At a press conference, they said they want to share their wealth and "put a smile on the faces of friends and family".

"If we hadn't won it, we'd have continued to live a normal life. And we'll continue to live that until we've thought about it... we need to speak to friends and family," said Gillian at the press conference.

The couple clearly needs time to adjust to their new riches. "It was mind-blowing. We never thought we were going to win," said Adrian.
