Ready for your close-up? Photographer braves volcano for perfect pictureBarcroft

This is what we call dedication to your art.

A brave photographer got extremely up close and personal with an erupting volcano in Hawaii for his perfect 'money shot'.

G Brad Lewis braved molten lava spewing from the Kilauea Volcano on Big Island, Hawaii, which reached 1,000C.

The daredevil photographer also snapped images of tourists stood in the shadow of the exploding volcano, as well as amazing pics of its bright red magma river flows.

Kilauea means "spewing" or "much spreading" in the Hawaiian language, referring to its frequent outpouring of lava.

The volcano is one of the most active on the planet, and is visited by thousands of tourists each year, making it the most visited attraction in Hawaii, and the most visited volcano in the world.
