A monkey described as a "slippery little beast" escaped its crate in the cargo hold - and held up an Air China flight at New York's JFK Airport for four hours yesterday.
Port Authority emergency services and an airport worker caught the monkey within the cargo hold and handed him back to the airline.
Acording to the nypost.com, the monkey was one of 50 to 60 being shipped to China for medical research.
The Daily Mail reports that Orlando Magic basketball player JJ Redick, believes he was on the flight, and tweeted today:
"Thought weather was to blame for sitting on a plane at JFK for 4.5 hrs. Turns out an escaped monkey may be the culprit."
