- The Meeting Place, St Pancras Station<p> If you're looking for the perfect place to meet your date in London, it's at the Meeting Place at St Pancras Station. The beautifully restored station is often compared to New York's romantic Grand Central Station and is home to the nine-metre sculpture The Meeting Place, which sits at the heart of the station showing two lovers locked in an embrace. - Tomb of Abelard and Heloise, Paris<p> A cemetery probably isn't the first place you'd think of wooing someone, but the Cimetière du Père Lachaise in Paris is definitely worth a visit on a romantic date. It's where the tomb of 12th-century lovers Abelard and Heloise lies. The relationship between philosopher Abelard and his student Heloise scandalised the local community and when Heloise fell pregnant they were soon separated. - Central Park, New York<p> Whether for a stroll through the hidden Shakespeare Garden, a carriage ride through the park or lunch at The Boathouse Restaurant overlooking the lake, New York's Central Park is the ideal place for a romantic rendezvous and is a must-visit if you're in the city. Don't miss ice skating at the Wollman Rink if travelling in winter and look out for Cleopatra's Needle.</p>
- Callejon del Beso (The Alley of the Kiss), Mexico<p> According to tradition, couples who visit the Alley of the Kiss in Guanajuato, Mexico must kiss while standing on the third step to receive 15 years of happiness and if they don't will have seven years of bad luck. The tradition comes from the story of Ana and Carlos who fell in love here but were forbidden to see each other by Ana's father. They went against his wishes and one night Ana's father saw them together and in a rage he put a dagger through her heart killing her. Carlos also died while trying to protect her.</p>
- Neuschwanstein Castle, Bavaria<p> Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria, Germany was the inspiration for the Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland and is a magical attraction for couples to visit. Explore the grand interior and admire the architecture of the beautiful building. The fairytale castle is surrounded by forests and lakes and was built by Ludwig II of Bavaria as a retreat, before it opened to the public in 1886 when he died.</p>
- Aphrodite's Rock, Cyprus<p> As the birthplace of the Greek goddess of love Aphrodite, Petra tou Romiou or Aphrodite's Rock in Pafos is the ultimate beach spot for a romantic date. Bring a picnic basket and watch the sunset with the turquoise blue waves crashing against the rocks. It's also said that if you swim around the Aphrodite Rock, you'll be blessed with eternal beauty.</p>
- Taj Mahal, Agra<p> India's Taj Mahal is not only a landmark admired by architects, it's one of the world's most romantic buildings where lovers meet. The monument was commissioned by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal, who he fell in love with at first sight. - Juliet's House, Verona<p> Relive the tragic love story of Romeo and Juliet at Juliet's House in the Italian city of Verona. The famous balcony where Romeo swore his eternal love for Juliet in Shakespeare's play is visited by lovers from all around the world who come to touch the bronze statue of Juliet hoping to instantly fall in love and get married. You can enter the house and stand on the balcony, see the costumes worn by performers of the play and check out the furniture of the Capulet family.</p>
