Gareth Gates to entertain tourists at sea on cruise ship

Gareth Gates is swapping the stage for the deck to entertain tourists in Bruges next month on a two-night P&O Cruises holiday.
The Pop Idol finalist will join the cruise on 3 September, sailing from Southampton to Belgium and keeping the 500 passengers entertained with his songs.
Gates, 27, will sing Unchained Melody and Spirit in the Sky, as well as pose for photos with his fans and sign autographs.
'I'm really excited about performing on board Oceana. I've never been on a cruise ship before but I've always wanted to and so this is going to be a fantastic experience for me,' he said.
Managing director of P&O Cruises, Carol Marlow said: 'Gareth is a worldwide pop star and we are very excited to have him perform on board Oceana. We are sure he will be a great hit with passengers on this weekend cruise.'
The singer was runner-up of Pop Idol in 2002, going on to have a few hits before bagging the lead role in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat in the West End in 2009.
