BA offers William and Kate £200 over failed in-flight entertainment from LA

British Airways offered to pay Prince William and Kate Middleton £200 compensation because their in-flight entertainment failed on their recent BA flight home from Los Angeles.
The airline presented the royal couple with duty-free vouchers after the screens broke down a week ago as they returned from their Canadian and American tour.
The Duke and Duchess left LA on the 3.55pm flight at the end of a 10-day tour.
A source told the Mirror: 'The whole of first class including the duke and duchess seemed a bit peeved but they were placated by BA's offer. Still, 10 hours without in-flight entertainment is a little tough going.'
The pair, whose seats cost £5,000 each, were unable to watch films such as sporting drama The Fighter starring Christian Bale, Angelina Jolie's The Tourist and the Elton John-produced cartoon Gnomeo and Juliet.
A BA spokesman confirmed the problem, saying: 'Unfortunately a fault with some parts of the aircraft's in-flight entertainment system couldn't be fixed before the aircraft took off from Los Angeles.
'We apologise to everyone affected and have offered customers either a voucher or frequent flyer miles to say sorry.'
Other passengers said they seemed relaxed and laid back on the flight, where their entourage was divided between first class and business class.
One said: 'They changed into more comfortable clothes and were very friendly to the other passengers.'
The newlyweds began their tour on a Canadian Air Force jet complete with 14-inch TV and DVD player.
There was also an office with four business class seats, a desk, a three-seater couch and a shower.
But the couple opted to make the return journey on a commercial flight to save thousands of pounds.
